Meet the Doctors at Our Plank Road Chiropractic Clinic in Baton Rouge, LA

When you're looking for a chiropractor on Plank Road in Baton Rouge, you want more than someone who simply performs an adjustment. You want a team that listens, understands your individual goals, and has the experience and tools to help you get back to doing the things you love.

At our Plank Road chiropractic clinic in Baton Rouge, Dr. Wayne H. Johnson, D.C., CCSP, and Dr. Paige Daigneault, D.C., bring decades of combined experience and a shared commitment to personalized, comprehensive chiropractic care.

From back and neck pain to personal injuries, sports injuries, and rehabilitation, the team takes a multifaceted approach designed to help patients restore movement, improve function, and get back to everyday life.

Meet Dr. Wayne H. Johnson, D.C., CCSP

Dr. Wayne H. Johnson has been practicing chiropractic care for 13 years. Originally from Baltimore, Maryland, his educational journey brought him to Louisiana, where he attended Louisiana Tech University, LSU Shreveport, LSU Health Sciences Center, and Texas Chiropractic College.

His path to chiropractic care began with an injury of his own.

After being injured, Dr. Johnson visited a chiropractor out of desperation. The treatment ended up being what finally helped him, and two years later, he decided to pursue chiropractic as a career.

That personal experience continues to influence his approach to patient care today.

One of the most rewarding parts of his job is helping patients who feel like they've run out of options—because he understands firsthand what it's like to wonder whether you'll ever feel better.

Meet Dr. Paige Daigneault, D.C.

Dr. Paige Daigneault has been practicing chiropractic care for 10 years and has wanted to become a chiropractor since she was in eighth grade.

Born and raised in Houma, Louisiana, Dr. Daigneault attended South Terrebonne High School in Bourg before continuing her education at Nicholls State University in Thibodaux.

She graduated from Nicholls State in May 2011 and began chiropractic school at Texas Chiropractic College that September. She graduated from TCC on December 13, 2014.

Her interest in chiropractic started during a middle school career day when she came across a pamphlet about the profession.

It caught her attention—and she never looked back.

Dr. Daigneault was drawn to the medical field because she has always loved helping people. What particularly attracted her to chiropractic was its holistic philosophy and focus on supporting the body's ability to heal.

Serving Baton Rouge on Plank Road Since 2017

The Plank Road chiropractic location was opened by Dr. Johnson on September 5, 2017.

Building the practice from the ground up has been a significant part of its story. Dr. Johnson describes the experience as truly starting from nothing and watching both the business and its patient community grow over time.

Dr. Daigneault wasn't at the clinic when it first opened, but she's heard plenty of stories about those early days—from computers sitting on the ground to a mini fridge in the break room and everything in between.

Today, the clinic looks very different from those early days, but the commitment to patients remains at the center of everything the team does.

Chiropractic Care for Back & Neck Pain

Back pain and neck pain are among the most common reasons patients visit the Plank Road clinic.

The doctors work with patients experiencing a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions and movement limitations, creating individualized treatment plans based on each patient's symptoms, lifestyle, and goals.

Treatment may include a combination of:

  • Chiropractic manipulation

  • Physical rehabilitation

  • Soft tissue techniques

  • Muscle activation

  • Instrument-assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM)

  • Spinal decompression

  • Dry needling

  • Phototherapy

  • Ultrasound therapy

The goal is not simply to provide temporary relief. The team works to help patients improve function and understand how they can continue managing their health and movement.

Personal Injury Chiropractic Care in Baton Rouge

The Plank Road clinic also sees many personal injury patients, including individuals who have experienced:

  • Motor vehicle collisions

  • Slips and falls

  • Traumatic spinal injuries

  • Other accident-related injuries

These types of injuries can affect the spine, muscles, joints, and overall mobility and may require a combination of passive treatment and active rehabilitation.

Dr. Daigneault emphasizes that recovery is about more than simply adjusting the spine. The clinic uses multiple treatment approaches and technologies to help patients work toward restoring normal function.

Sports Injury Treatment & Physical Rehabilitation

Dr. Johnson has a particular interest in sports injuries and physical rehabilitation, while both doctors incorporate movement and rehabilitation into their approach to patient care.

Whether you're a competitive athlete, recreational athlete, or simply someone who wants to stay active, injuries can interfere with the activities you enjoy.

The team works to help patients restore strength, mobility, stability, and confidence so they can return to the activities that matter to them.

More Than Just Chiropractic Adjustments

One of the things that sets this Baton Rouge chiropractic clinic apart is its comprehensive approach.

As Dr. Daigneault explains, the clinic doesn't simply "adjust" patients and send them on their way.

The team uses multiple tools and techniques depending on what each patient needs, including physical rehabilitation, soft tissue work, muscle activation, spinal decompression, phototherapy, ultrasound therapy, and manipulation.

The clinic also continues to invest in new technology, continuing education, and expanded services to provide patients with increasingly comprehensive care.

The philosophy is simple: keep learning, keep evolving, and keep looking for better ways to help patients return to normal function.

Helping Patients Get Back to Life

For both doctors, the most rewarding part of chiropractic care is seeing patients regain the ability to do everyday things without pain or limitations.

For Dr. Daigneault, that might mean watching a patient go from needing an ambulatory aid to eventually walking independently when they're released from care.

It could also be something as simple—and meaningful—as a patient being able to:

  • Play with their children

  • Sleep comfortably

  • Go back to work

  • Exercise

  • Enjoy their favorite activities

  • Complete everyday tasks without pain

Those milestones are what make the work meaningful.

Dr. Johnson shares a similar perspective. For him, the greatest reward is helping people change their lives, particularly patients who once felt hopeless about finding relief.

A Clinic Where Patients Become Family

Ask the team what makes the Plank Road location special, and the answer goes beyond treatment.

The doctors and staff genuinely view their patients as family.

Former patients regularly stop by the clinic to visit, bring food or gifts, or simply catch up with the team. Patients also frequently refer friends and family members to the practice.

For Dr. Johnson and Dr. Daigneault, those relationships are among the greatest compliments a healthcare provider can receive.

It's a reflection of the trust that develops when patients feel heard, cared for, and supported throughout their recovery.

A Team That Takes Its Work Seriously—But Not Itself Too Seriously

The team at the Plank Road clinic may take patient care seriously, but they also know how to have fun.

Dr. Johnson jokes that the team will take any excuse or occasion to dress up, while Dr. Daigneault describes the staff as one big family.

The team comes from different backgrounds and walks of life, but they share a common bond in being able to have fun, be themselves, and connect with their patients.

That welcoming atmosphere is an important part of the patient experience.

Community Involvement in Baton Rouge

The Plank Road team believes that serving patients extends beyond the walls of the clinic.

Dr. Johnson participates in community events and educational lectures and provides services for organizations including Southern University and Baton Rouge Community College (BRCC).

The team also visits schools and medical facilities to provide massage services and have educational conversations about chiropractic care and health.

These community outreach efforts allow the doctors and staff to connect with people outside the clinic and educate them about the role chiropractic care may play in supporting movement, recovery, and overall function.

Constantly Evolving to Better Serve Patients

Healthcare isn't static—and neither is this chiropractic clinic.

Both doctors emphasize the importance of continuing education and staying current with new techniques and technology.

The clinic continually looks for ways to expand its services and improve the patient experience based on what the community needs.

From adding new treatment technology to opening additional locations, the practice continues to grow while maintaining the same patient-centered philosophy that helped establish the Plank Road location.
